Bio

Dr. Shaheena Asif is one of the most famous Gynecologists and Obstetricians in Lahore with over 35 years of experience in her field. She is currently working at Surgimed Hospital and is the Dean of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lahore Medical and Dental College. She has been practicing and teaching for many years during her time as a doctor.

Qualifications

Dr. Shaheena Asif finished her MBBS from Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore. She then completed her D.Obst from Royal College of Physicians Ireland. She received her MRCOG from Royal College of Gynecologists London and also finished her FRCOG from this institution. She has also completed her RCP.

Experience

Dr. Shaheena Asif has almost 4 decades worth of experience; she has been in her field for 35 years and has worked in the Gynecologist and Obstetrics department of many Hospitals and she has also been a professor at a few colleges. She is currently working at Surgimed Hospital as a Consultant and previously worked at Services Hospital Lahore. She has been a professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Allama Iqbal Medical College and Faimaa Jinnah Medical College. She is also the Dean of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lahore Medical and Dental College.

Activism

Dr. Shaheena Asif has spent time raising awareness on female fertility issues through interviews. She is also a patron of Zara Shaheed Trust and has visited the Free Gyne camp there to give guidance and advice to the doctors. In a video interview, she mentioned the causes for infertility, its diagnosis and treatments. She mentioned how couples should approach a doctor for infertility after at least a year of being together. She also says how both the man and woman need tests to check for infertility. The initial tests for women are quite basic and based on this, there is an analysis on what further tests are needed. Dr. Shaheena Asif has given many similar interviews in an attempt to raise awareness.
