He also talks about the early signs and causes of facial aging and how to overcome this condition through various treatment methodologies.

Q.1. What are acne scars and what are their types?

Okay, so today we will talk about acne scarring which is, unfortunately, a very common skin problem. Acne vulgaris refers to the oversecretion of oil or sebum during puberty. Acne can sometimes leave extremely bad scars on the skin that are in the form of cysts and pits. The deeper the acne, the more intense the scarring.

Q.2. What is the best acne scar removal procedure?

So, the treatment also depends on the intensity of the scarring. If the acne scars are in the superficial layers of the skin and left minor scarring, we use chemical peels, peeling ointments, Vitamin A creams and sunblock.

As the scarring becomes deeper, then more advanced treatment is required. Those include dermabrasion and microdermabrasion. If the scarring is deeper still, then we employ a mixture of dermabrasion and laser.

Stem cell therapy is are also emerging as one of the best treatments to eradicate acne scarring.

Q.3. What are the common side effects of these procedures?

Well, yes, a lot of patients do as ask me about the side effects of these procedures as they should. Well, there is a slight risk of hyperpigmentation occurring in patients in whom laser or dermabrasion is performed. However, that risk can certainly be lessened with proper hydration and use of sunblock.

Q.4. What causes facial aging?

Well, you would be surprised to know that the aging of skin has little to do with your actual age. You must have seen a lot of people in your family or celebrities whose skin quality is much better than their ascending age. Skin aging happens when your bodies cells die faster than they are regenerated. The number one cause of aging or premature aging is sun exposure. Unfortunately, in our culture, the use of sunscreen is highly underrated.

The second cause of aging is stress. There can be many causes of stress and its highly detrimental to skin health. When stress is compounded with an unhealthy, fat and grease filled diet, the process of aging accelerates.

Q.5. What are the early signs of aging?

Okay, lets talk about the features of dehydrated and aging skin. Aging skin shows itself in the form of forehead wrinkles, creases around the eyes, hooded and saggy eyes and eye bags.

Double chin, neck wrinkles and chubby cheeks are also signs of facial aging.
