Well, there are many treatments available to treat burn scars. Some victims are given medication, creams that treat both the bumpy texture of the burn and the colour of the scar.

The second level of treatment is silicon sheets that treat the intensity and severity of the burn. The last level of the treatment is surgery that only a board-certified plastic surgeon can do.

Q.4. Are there any effective remedies for removing facial scars?

Well, for mild to normal scars, using olive or coconut oil to massage the areas can certainly lighten the scars. However, if the scars persist, consult a doctor for proper scar removal.

Q.5. Why do scars turn dark?

Whenever skin burns, it turns red or crimson. The deeper the burn is, the deeper the scar is. 3 weeks from the fresh accident, the scars will properly appear. The reasons why the scar seems dark is because of the healing mechanism of our body.
