Q1. What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is basically an allied healthcare branch in which we improve the quality of life of the patient by enhancing their mobility and function. Patients with sciatica pain, frozen shoulder can seek a physiotherapist’s services.

Physiotherapy has a lot of scope in various specialities such as; cardiomuscular, neuromuscular, orthopaedic. Even in skin disorders and wound care management of both adults and children. Similarly, we also deal indoor patients and out-patients.

Physiotherapy takes time in healing and improvement. It may take as little as 2 to 3 days or as long as 3 to 4 weeks. We try to impair any affected sites, like muscle damage or blocked nerves.

Q.3. What are the common medical procedures that require Physiotherapy?

In my physiotherapy profession, the most common medical conditions that require physiotherapy include neck pain, sciatica pain, frozen shoulder. Conditions also include sports injuries and patients of cerebral palsy. We also receive patients of neurological conditions and burn patients.

Q.4. How is physiotherapy beneficial for a normal person?

Even if a healthy person comes to us, we advise them to do strengthening exercises and toning exercises if they have weak muscles.

Q.5. How does one cope with physiotherapy treatment?

If you are taking about the importance of physiotherapy treatment, then make sure that you follow the doctor’s precautions. For example, we advise the patient to not use hard and high pillows and maintain a proper neck position.
