Q.1. What is the recommended dosage of calories per day?
Calorie intake basically depends on your weight. For both weight gain and weight loss, calorie intake differs. Healthy calorie intake should range from 1200 to 1400 for females if you are looking to lose weight. For men, healthy calorie intake for weight loss should be 1600 to 1750. To put it simply, if you are looking to lose weight, you should take fewer calories. On the other hand, if you want to gain weight, you should take surplus calories.
Q.2. Why is it harder to lose weight each time you gain it back?
Well, nowadays, it is becoming easier to lose weight because of our lifestyle and unhealthy dietary habits. Most people who live sedentary lives with a lack of any physical activities will most probably experience weight gain.
I also believe that people who don’t understand their bodies and their functions and randomly go on diets will also regain all the weight lost. If you want to lose weight, you need to understand your body, its metabolic system and follow a proper calorie requirement.
Q.3. How does exercise help in weight loss?
Well, yes, exercise is very important in accelerating weight loss. We know that where 70% of weight loss is dependant on your diet, 30% is dependant on exercise.
You don’t really have to go to the gym. You can keep some time for a brisk walk for 30 minutes every day. Moreover, exercise also keeps your mind and body healthy. In addition, it helps to tone and shape up the body.
Q.4. Is it true that eating after 8 p.m makes you put on pounds?
Yes, timings are very important when you are following a diet plan and looking to lose weight. I dealy, breakfast must be between 7:00 to 9:30 pm, lunch shouldn’t exceed 2:30 pm and dinner must be taken 7:30 to 8:30 pm.
The reason why a late dinner makes you put on pounds is that there is hardly any activity done by most people after dinner. That is what eventually leads to unwanted weight gain over time.
Q.5. What is the best time to check your weight?
I believe that the biggest demotivating factor in weight gain is that you weigh yourself everyday. This is totally wrong. I suggest that you weigh yourself once a month if you are following a diet. Let it be a surprise for you.
Also, the best time to weigh yourself is in the morning. And if you can’t weigh yourself in the morning, then weigh yourself the same time every day.
