How to use Ampress Tablet 10mg?
- Take Ampress tablet once daily at the same time each day.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
- Take a missed dose as soon as remembered, unless it is close to the next dose.
- Monitor blood pressure regularly while on this medicine.
Drug Interactions
- Simvastatin: Increases simvastatin levels in the blood, raising the risk of muscle related side effects, so the statin dose is usually limited.
- Other Blood Pressure Medicines: Combining with other antihypertensives can increase the blood pressure lowering effect and the risk of dizziness.
- CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Medicines such as ketoconazole or clarithromycin can raise amlodipine levels in the blood.
- Grapefruit Juice: May increase amlodipine levels and the risk of side effects.
