How to use Apiban Tablet 5mg?
- This tablet can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
- Take this tablet at the same times every day to maintain steady blood levels
- Never stop this tablet suddenly without your doctor's advice
Contraindications
- This medicine must not be used by patients with active, uncontrolled bleeding
- Contraindicated in patients with a mechanical or prosthetic heart valve
- Avoid in patients with severe kidney impairment without dose adjustment
- Should not be taken by patients allergic to apixaban
Drug Interactions
- Aspirin and other NSAIDs: combining them raises the risk of serious bleeding
- Other anticoagulants like warfarin or heparin: using them together significantly increases bleeding risk
