Apsin Tablet 40mg Benefits

- Supports faster healing of existing ulcers when taken as directed
- Generally well tolerated with a lower interaction profile than some other acid reducing drug classes
What Experts Say
Doctors describe Famotidine as a reliable option for reducing stomach acid, particularly useful for patients who need quick symptom relief from heartburn or ulcer pain. Physicians often prescribe it at bedtime for reflux, since acid production tends to rise at night when the stomach is empty.
Gastroenterologists usually recommend completing the full prescribed course even after symptoms improve, since stopping early can leave an ulcer only partially healed. Acid related digestive complaints are among the most common reasons patients seek a general physician, making H2 blockers a familiar first line option in everyday practice.
Physicians also advise caution in patients with reduced kidney function, since Famotidine is cleared through the kidneys and may need a lower dose in that group. Doctors generally recommend a follow up visit if heartburn symptoms persist beyond two weeks of regular use, since that can point to a condition needing further evaluation.
