Artheget tablet Uses

Artemether works quickly to reduce the number of malaria parasites in the blood, while lumefantrine clears the remaining parasites over a longer period. Together they lower the chance of the infection coming back.

The full six dose course over three days must be completed, and each dose should be taken with fatty food or milk, since this significantly improves how well lumefantrine is absorbed.

This is a prescription medicine, and malaria should be confirmed with a blood test before starting treatment. It is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy except when clearly necessary.
