How to use Bactigras Dressing?

• Clean and dry the wound area before applying
• Apply a single layer directly to the wound using a sterile technique
• Cover with a secondary dressing to hold it in place
• Do not use if the individual packaging seal is broken

Contraindications

• Contraindicated in patients with known sensitivity to chlorhexidine
• Not suitable for wounds covering a large body surface area without medical supervision
• Avoid use if the sterile packaging has been opened or damaged before use
• Not recommended for use together with soap or other anionic cleansing products on the same area

Drug Interactions

• Soaps and other anionic surfactant products: these can reduce the antiseptic effectiveness of this dressing when used together

Risks and warnings

• Large wound areas: using this dressing over extensive areas needs medical supervision
• Children: wound area limits are lower for children; follow medical advice on how much to cover
• Signs of infection: worsening redness, swelling or discharge should be reported to a doctor promptly
• Sun exposure: some patients may notice increased skin sensitivity around the treated area

Storage Conditions

• Store flat at room temperature, 15°C to 25°C
• Keep each dressing in its sealed sterile wrapper until use
• Keep out of reach of children
