Beta F Cream Uses

• Used for eczema with a suspected bacterial infection
• Helpful in managing infected dermatitis on the skin
• Effective against infected discoid or stasis eczema
• Indicated for infected seborrheic dermatitis
• Given to patients with infected intertrigo in skin folds
• Treats infected lichen simplex and related itchy skin patches

How to use Beta F Cream?

• Beta F cream is applied directly to clean, dry skin
• Rub in gently until the cream is absorbed
• Wash your hands after application unless treating the hands
• Avoid covering the treated area with an airtight bandage

Contraindications

• This medicine must not be used by patients with acne or rosacea
• Known allergy to betamethasone or fusidic acid rules out use
• Not suitable for viral skin infections such as chickenpox or herpes
• Avoid in patients with untreated fungal skin infections

Drug Interactions

• Other topical steroids: combined use on the same area can increase skin thinning risk
• Occlusive dressings: these can increase absorption and the risk of side effects
• Other topical antibiotics: combined use may increase the risk of resistance over time

Risks and warnings

• Prolonged use: extended use can cause skin thinning and stretch marks
• Facial application: use cautiously on the face for the shortest time needed
• Pregnancy: use only if clearly needed and advised by your doctor
• Large skin areas: avoid applying over large areas of the body
• Eye contact: avoid contact with the eyes and surrounding skin

• Store at room temperature, below 25°C
• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
