Brufen Suspension Benefits
- Works well for high or persistent fever that does not settle with paracetamol alone

- Comes as a sweet, easy-to-measure suspension suited for young children
What Experts Say
Pediatricians often prescribe ibuprofen when a child's fever does not settle with paracetamol alone. Its anti-inflammatory action also helps with pain linked to swelling, such as a sore throat or a minor injury.
Correct dosing depends on the child's body weight, not age alone. Parents should use the measuring device provided with the bottle rather than a kitchen spoon, since small errors can lead to under-dosing or overdosing.
Childhood fevers are common across Pakistan, especially during seasonal viral infections. Doctors usually recommend keeping a pediatrician-approved fever reliever at home and seeking medical advice if fever crosses 102°F or lasts more than 3 days.
