How to use Cagen D Tablet?
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Take at the same time each day for consistency
- Space doses evenly if taking twice daily
- Continue for as long as your doctor recommends
Contraindications
- People diagnosed with hypercalcemia should not use this tablet
- Not suitable for patients with kidney stones or significant kidney disease
- Avoid in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice
Drug Interactions
- Tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics: calcium can reduce how well these antibiotics are absorbed
- Bisphosphonates and levothyroxine: take these medicines a few hours apart from this tablet
Risks and warnings
- Recommended dose: do not exceed it, since excess calcium can raise kidney stone risk
- Kidney problems: use with caution if you have reduced kidney function or electrolyte imbalance
