How to use Calci-VD Tablet?

• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Take with or after a meal
• Take at the same time each day
• Do not crush or chew unless directed by the physician

Contraindications

• Not suitable for patients with high blood calcium levels
• Avoid in patients with kidney stones caused by calcium
• Contraindicated in patients with severe kidney impairment
• Known allergy to calcium, vitamin D3 or any ingredient rules out its use

Drug Interactions

• Tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics: calcium can reduce their absorption; space doses apart by at least 2 hours
• Thiazide diuretics: combined use can raise blood calcium to unsafe levels
• Levothyroxine: calcium can reduce its absorption; space doses apart
• Bisphosphonates: calcium can reduce their absorption; space doses apart by at least 2 hours

Risks and warnings

• Kidney disease: requires medical supervision since calcium and vitamin D affect kidney function
• Long-term high-dose use: can lead to high blood calcium and related symptoms
• Heart disease: should be discussed with a physician before starting, given the calcium and mineral content
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women: should use this tablet only if the physician advises it
