What Experts Say
Calcium and vitamin D3 work together in the body. Vitamin D3 helps the intestines absorb calcium properly, so pairing them in one tablet makes the supplement more effective than calcium alone.
Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common across Pakistan due to limited sun exposure, indoor lifestyles, and diets low in fortified foods. Many adults, especially women, have calcium intake below recommended levels as well.
Experts generally recommend combined calcium and vitamin D3 supplements for people with diagnosed deficiency, older adults, and postmenopausal women, but advise checking blood calcium and vitamin D levels first when possible and avoiding unsupervised long term high dose use.
