What Experts Say
Physicians who recommend herbal digestive formulations note that carminative blends containing cumin, black pepper and long pepper work by stimulating gastric secretions and easing smooth muscle spasm in the gut. This helps move trapped gas through the digestive tract and lowers the bloated feeling many patients report after heavy meals.
Doctors often see patients with functional dyspepsia who have no structural disease on investigation, and herbal carminatives like Carmina Plus are sometimes suggested as an add on to dietary changes rather than a replacement for prescription therapy. The ammonium chloride content in the formula also supports the tablet's overall digestive action, though experts advise caution in people with kidney or acid related conditions.
