How to use Certeza Glucometer GL-110?
- Wash and dry your hands, then insert a new test strip into the meter
- Prick your fingertip with the lancing device to get a small blood drop
- Touch the strip tip to the blood drop until it draws in fully
- Read the result on the screen within about ten seconds
Contraindications
- Should not be used by anyone as a substitute for a doctor's diagnosis of diabetes
- Not suitable for use with expired or damaged test strips
- Avoid relying on a single reading if the result seems unusually high or low without retesting
- Not recommended for underwater or extreme temperature use, since this can damage the device
Risks and warnings
- Expired strips: using strips past their expiry date can give an inaccurate reading
- Cold or dirty fingers: these can reduce blood flow and lead to a falsely low reading
- Battery level: replace the batteries promptly when the low battery icon appears to avoid erratic readings
- Sharps disposal: dispose of used lancets in a proper sharps container, not household trash
