How to use Clindacin gel 1%?

• Wash and dry the affected area before applying.
• Apply a thin layer once or twice daily as directed.

Drug Interactions

Clindacin gel has few interactions since it works mainly on the skin surface.

• Other topical acne products: Combining with strong exfoliants or benzoyl peroxide can increase skin dryness and irritation.
• Erythromycin containing products: Avoid using together since they can reduce each other's effect.

Risks and warnings

• Skin irritation: Dryness, redness, or peeling can occur, especially at the start.
• Diarrhea: Severe or persistent diarrhea needs prompt medical attention.
• Bowel disease: Avoid with a history of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
