Danzen DS tablet is primarily used for reducing pain and swelling. Its use is indicated to treat a host of painful conditions including back pain, osteoarthritis, toothache, migraine headaches, etc. It contains Serrapeptse; a proteolytic enzyme obtained from silkworms.

The risks and warnings associated with Danzen DS are:

1. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, do not take Danzen DS unless your doctor advises it. It can affect the health of your baby. Breastfeeding mothers should also consult with a healthcare provider before taking it.

2. Allergic to Danzen DS

If you are allergic to Serrapeptase, do not take Danzen DS or any other medicine with the same generic name, as it can result in a life-threatening condition called anaphylactic shock.

3. Alcohol intake

If you drink more than three glasses of alcohol in a day, take Danzen DS with caution as it increases the chances of liver damage and sedation.

4. Kidney disease

How to use Danzen DS Tablet 10mg?

• You should take a Danzen DS tablet with a glass of water
• Swallow it whole
• It is better to take it with food if you have an upset stomach
• Follow the dosage and frequency as advised by the doctor

Danzen DS Side Effects

There is not much clinical data about the safety of Serrapeptase. It is generally well tolerated. But it may cause side effects like:

• Nausea
• Stomachache
• Muscle pain
• Joint pain

• Rash

Drug Interactions

Danzen DS may interact with blood thinners like clopidogrel and warfarin. Due to these reasons, you must stop its intake at least two weeks before undergoing any kind of surgery.  It may interact with medications like:

• Ibuprofen
• Diclofenac
• Naproxen
• Dalteparin
• Heparin
