How to use Deslavid tablet 5mg?
- The usual adult dose is one 5mg tablet taken once daily, with or without food.
- This medicine should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor, since it is a prescription only product in Pakistan.
- A missed dose can be taken as soon as it is remembered, unless it is close to the next scheduled dose.
- Use in children should follow age appropriate dosing guided by a pediatrician.
Drug Interactions
- Ketoconazole and erythromycin: These can raise desloratadine blood levels.
- Alcohol and sedatives: Combined use may add to drowsiness in sensitive individuals.
- Other CNS depressants: Caution is needed when combined, though desloratadine has a low sedation profile.
