How to use Detran P Tablet 75mg ?

• This tablet can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• The tablet must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water
• This tablet must not be crushed or chewed before swallowing
• The lowest effective dose must be used for the shortest time possible
• Stopping this medicine suddenly after long use must be discussed with a doctor first

Contraindications

• This tablet must not be used by anyone who has had an allergic reaction to any NSAID or aspirin
• It is not safe for patients with a current or recent history of stomach or intestinal ulcers
• This tablet must not be used for pain relief before or after coronary artery bypass surgery
• Patients with serious kidney problems must avoid this tablet
• Not suitable for patients with advanced liver conditions
• Must not be used during the last three months of pregnancy

Drug Interactions

• Aspirin: Using both together increases the risk of stomach bleeding and reduces the benefit of low-dose aspirin for the heart

• ACE inhibitors (e.g., enalapril, lisinopril): This combination may reduce blood pressure control and harm kidney function
• Diuretics (e.g., furosemide): Detran P tablet can reduce the effectiveness of water tablets, especially in older patients
• Cyclosporine: Using both together can increase the risk of kidney toxicity
• Lithium: Detran P tablet can raise lithium levels in the blood to dangerous amounts
