How to use Drate Plus D Tablet 70mg / 70mcg?

• Take on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water
• Remain upright, sitting or standing, for at least 30 minutes after taking this tablet
• Do not lie down until after the first food of the day is eaten
• Take once weekly on the same day each week as advised by your doctor
• Avoid other drinks, food or medicines for at least 30 minutes after the dose
• Swallow the tablet whole, do not crush, chew or suck it

Drug Interactions

• Calcium Supplements: Reduce absorption of Alendronate if taken together, separate doses by at least 30 minutes.
• Antacids: Lower the absorption of this medicine, avoid taking them close to the dose.
• NSAIDs: Increase the risk of stomach and esophageal irritation when combined with Alendronate.
• Aspirin: May add to gastrointestinal irritation risk with prolonged use.
• Iron Supplements: Can interfere with absorption if taken at the same time as this tablet.
