How to use Dysen Forte Tablet?
- Dysen forte tablet can be taken with food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablets whole with a full glass of water
- This is usually a single dose treatment and not a daily course
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for two days after the dose
Contraindications
- People diagnosed with a known allergy to secnidazole should avoid this tablet
- Those with a history of blood disorders should not use this tablet
- Not suitable for patients allergic to metronidazole or tinidazole
- Should not be taken by children without a doctor's prescription
Drug Interactions
- Alcohol: combined use can cause flushing, nausea and vomiting
- Warfarin: this tablet may increase the blood thinning effect
Risks and warnings
- Pregnancy: use only if clearly needed, especially in the first trimester
- Breastfeeding: avoid breastfeeding for four days after taking this tablet
- Vaginal yeast infection: this can develop after treatment, so watch for symptoms
