How to use Effidex Ointment 0.05%?

• Wash and dry the affected area before applying Effidex Ointment
• Apply a thin layer once or twice daily, as directed by your doctor
• Gently rub the ointment in until it is absorbed
• Avoid applying to the face, groin, or underarms unless your doctor advises it
• Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the treated area
• Do not use a bandage or airtight dressing over the treated area unless instructed
• Do not use for longer than the duration recommended by your doctor

Drug Interactions

• Other Topical Corticosteroids: Combining with additional steroid products increases the risk of skin thinning and systemic absorption
• Live Vaccines: Extensive or prolonged use may reduce immune response to live vaccines due to systemic corticosteroid absorption
• Other Topical Products On The Same Area: Applying other creams or ointments on the same skin site can alter absorption and irritate the skin
