How to use Elferb Syrup?
- Elferb syrup can be taken with or after food to avoid stomach upset
- The bottle should be shaken well before every dose
- Measuring each dose with the supplied cup keeps the amount accurate
- This syrup can be taken directly or mixed into a little water or juice
- Courses longer than ten days need a doctor's approval
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients taking medicines that suppress the immune system
- Should not be taken by anyone allergic to ragweed, marigold or daisy family plants
- Known allergy to elderberry, echinacea, zinc or vitamin C
- People diagnosed with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis
Drug Interactions
- Ciclosporin and other immune suppressing medicines: their effect may be reduced
- Doxycycline and ciprofloxacin: zinc lowers how much antibiotic the body absorbs
- Warfarin: blood thinning control may become unstable
- Theophylline: blood levels may rise and cause a fast heartbeat
- Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are currently taking

- Transplant patients: this syrup can interfere with anti rejection treatment
- Long courses: use beyond ten days needs medical supervision
