How to use Esox capsule 40mg?
- One capsule is usually taken once daily, at least one hour before breakfast on an empty stomach.
- The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, without chewing or crushing it.
- Patients unable to swallow capsules can open them and mix the pellets with a small amount of soft food.
- Treatment courses often run four to eight weeks, depending on the condition being treated.
Drug Interactions
- Clopidogrel: Esomeprazole can reduce the blood thinning effect of this heart medicine.
- Methotrexate: Higher doses of methotrexate combined with this capsule can raise toxicity risk.
- Warfarin: Blood clotting times may change, so monitoring is needed if both are used together.
- Diazepam: This capsule can slow the clearance of certain sedatives from the body.
