How to use Eszopic Tablet 2mg?

• Eszopic tablet works best when taken on an empty stomach or with a light meal.
• Heavy, high-fat meals slow absorption and reduce the medicine's effect
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water right before going to bed
• Take this medicine only when you can get a full 7 to 8 hours of sleep
• Do not stop this medicine suddenly without asking your doctor first

Contraindications

• Known allergy to eszopiclone or any ingredient in the tablet
• History of complex sleep behaviors, such as sleepwalking or sleep-driving, after taking any sleep medicine
• Severe liver disease, as the medicine stays in the body longer, increases the risk of side effects
• Active respiratory disorders or breathing problems that worsen with sedation
• Patients are currently taking sodium oxybate, as the combination is contraindicated
• Children and adolescents under the age of 18

Drug Interactions

• Alcohol: Combining alcohol with Eszopic tablet significantly increases drowsiness, dizziness, and the risk of breathing problems
• Benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam, alprazolam): Using these with Eszopic tablet raises the risk of severe sedation and slowed breathing
