How to use Exen-D Tablet?

• Take after meals so the calcium is absorbed well and stomach upset is less likely.
• Swallow whole with a full glass of water, and do not crush unless advised.
• Children should take it only as advised by a doctor.

Drug Interactions

• Levothyroxine: Calcium can reduce its absorption, so keep a gap of at least 4 hours.
• Tetracyclines and quinolone antibiotics: Calcium binds them, so take these medicines at separate times.
• Thiazide diuretics: They can raise blood calcium when combined with calcium and vitamin D.
• Iron and bisphosphonates: Calcium can reduce their absorption, so space the doses.
