How to use Freac capsule 20mg?

• Take Freac Capsule exactly as your dermatologist prescribes, usually once or twice daily.
• Swallow the capsule whole with water, ideally after a meal that contains some fat.
• Do not stop early or change the dose without asking your doctor.
• Never share this medicine with anyone else.

Drug Interactions

• Tetracycline antibiotics: Doxycycline or minocycline with isotretinoin can raise pressure inside the skull, so this combination is avoided.
• Vitamin A supplements: Extra vitamin A adds to the toxic effects of isotretinoin and should be avoided.
• Progestin only birth control pills: These may work less reliably, so ask your doctor about safer contraception choices.

Risks and warnings

• Pregnancy: Isotretinoin can cause serious birth defects. It must not be used in pregnancy, and reliable contraception and pregnancy tests are needed.
• Mood changes: Low mood, anxiety or unusual thoughts have been reported. Tell your doctor at once if these appear.
