Tramadol 37.5mg + Paracetamol 325mg
How to use Frendol P Tablet?
- Frendol P tablet can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water, without crushing or chewing
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time possible
- Do not stop this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor if taken for several days
Contraindications
- Known allergy to tramadol, paracetamol, or any component of the tablet
- Current or recent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the past 14 days
- Severe liver disease or active liver failure
- Blockage of the stomach or intestines (gastrointestinal obstruction)
- History of seizure disorder or epilepsy without medical supervision
- Children under 12 years of age, or under 18 years of age after tonsil or adenoid surgery
Drug Interactions
- Benzodiazepines (diazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam): combining these with Frendol P tablet may cause severe breathing problems, loss of consciousness, or coma
- Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs): can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening reaction
- Anticonvulsants (carbamazepine): may reduce the effectiveness of tramadol and increase seizure risk
- Warfarin: Frendol P tablet may raise the anticoagulant effect of warfarin, increasing bleeding risk
- Other paracetamol-containing products: taking them together raises the risk of liver damage from excess paracetamol
- Gabapentin or pregabalin: combining these medicines with Frendol P tablet increases the risk of seizures and respiratory depression
Risks and warnings
- Addiction risk: Tramadol is an opioid-like medicine and may cause dependence if taken longer than prescribed
- Seizure history: patients with a history of seizures face a higher risk of convulsions with this medicine
- Liver problems: Frendol P tablet contains paracetamol, which must not be taken with other paracetamol products or in liver disease
- Respiratory conditions: patients with asthma or breathing problems should use this medicine with caution
- Alcohol use: alcohol combined with Frendol P tablet significantly increases the risk of liver damage and drowsiness
- Pregnancy: regular use during pregnancy can cause dependence in the unborn baby; use only if clearly necessary
- Breastfeeding: tramadol passes into breast milk and may harm the nursing infant; avoid during breastfeeding
- Elderly patients: older adults are more sensitive to drowsiness and breathing effects; a lower dose may be required
- Kidney problems: patients with reduced kidney function require a dose adjustment and should not exceed 2 tablets every 12 hours
- Driving and machinery: Frendol P tablet causes drowsiness and dizziness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery while taking it
