How to use Gynosafe tablet 500mg?
- The tablet is placed deep inside the vagina using the applicator provided in the pack, usually at night.
- Hands should be washed thoroughly before and after inserting the tablet.
- A sanitary pad can be worn afterward, since some of the tablet base may leak out during the day.
- Sexual intercourse is best avoided until the infection has fully cleared.
Drug Interactions
- Latex barrier methods: Clotrimazole can reduce the strength of latex condoms and diaphragms during treatment.
- Other vaginal medicines: Another vaginal antifungal or antibiotic used at the same time needs a doctor's approval first.
Risks and warnings
- Not for internal ingestion: Gynosafe is a vaginal tablet and must never be taken by mouth.
- Pregnancy: Use during early pregnancy should only happen under a gynecologist's advice.
- Diabetes: Women with poorly controlled diabetes may see infections return and should get their sugar levels checked.
