How to use H2F Tablet 20mg?
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Take with or without food
- Take once daily doses at bedtime, as prescribed
- Space doses evenly through the day when taking twice daily
- See your doctor if symptoms last beyond two weeks
Contraindications
- Should not be used by patients allergic to famotidine
- Should not be used by patients allergic to other H2 blockers such as ranitidine or cimetidine
- Should not be used by patients with a past severe allergic reaction to any ingredient
- Should not be given to children unless specifically prescribed
Risks and warnings
- Do not ignore chest pain: as heartburn can mimic early heart attack symptoms, so seek urgent review
- Do not exceed 14 days of self treatment: longer use without medical review may hide a serious stomach condition
