How to use Hepatitis B Vaccine Injection 0.5ml?
- Birth dose given within 24 hours of birth, especially for infants born to Hepatitis B positive mothers
- Three dose primary schedule following Pakistan's EPI timing, typically at 6, 10, and 14 weeks of age alongside pentavalent vaccine
- Administered as an intramuscular injection, usually in the thigh for infants or the upper arm for older children and adults
- Adults and high risk groups may follow a 0, 1, and 6 month three dose schedule
- Additional booster doses given only if advised by a healthcare provider based on risk assessment
