Ipneb nebulizer solution 250mg Uses

• Relief of airway narrowing (bronchospasm) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Added treatment for airway narrowing in asthma, often with another bronchodilator
• Helps ease wheezing, cough, chest tightness and breathlessness
• Not a rescue medicine for sudden attacks, as it may take time to work
• Prescription medicine, to be inhaled only through a nebuliser

How to use Ipneb Nebulizer Solution 250mcg/ml?

• The solution is for nebuliser use only and must never be swallowed or injected
• The contents of the vial should be squeezed into the nebuliser chamber, and diluted only if the doctor advises
• Breathe calmly and deeply through the mouthpiece or mask until the mist stops
• A mouthpiece is preferred, or the eyes should be protected if a mask is used
• The nebuliser should be cleaned after each use, and any leftover solution discarded

Contraindications

• Should not be used by patients allergic to ipratropium, atropine-like medicines or any ingredient
• Should not be used for a sudden severe attack in place of urgent medical care
• Should not be given to children without medical advice
• Should not be swallowed or injected

Risks and warnings

• Protect your eyes: as mist in the eyes may cause blurred vision or eye pain, especially in narrow angle glaucoma
• Use with caution: if you have an enlarged prostate or difficulty passing urine, since ipratropium may worsen this
• Use with caution: if you have cystic fibrosis or bowel blockage, as it may slow gut movement

• Rare fast heartbeat, eye pain or difficulty passing urine

Storage Conditions

• Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place
• Protect from light and keep unused vials in the foil pouch
• Use an opened vial at once and discard any leftover
• Keep out of reach of children
