How to use Klaricid l suspension?

• Shake the bottle well before each dose and measure with the supplied syringe or spoon.
• It can be given with or without food, and giving it with food may reduce stomach upset.
• Complete the full course, and discard any leftover liquid after the number of days written on the pack.

Drug Interactions

• Statins: Simvastatin and lovastatin levels can rise sharply and increase the risk of severe muscle damage.
• Warfarin: Clarithromycin can increase the blood thinning effect and the risk of bleeding.
• Cisapride, pimozide and other QT prolonging medicines: Combining them can cause serious heart rhythm problems.
• Carbamazepine and digoxin: Their blood levels can increase and cause side effects.

Risks and warnings

• Allergy: Do not use it if there is a known allergy to clarithromycin, erythromycin or azithromycin.
• Heart rhythm: Clarithromycin can affect heart rhythm (QT prolongation), so tell the doctor about any heart disease or low potassium.
