How to use Lederplex syrup?

• Take Lederplex Syrup in the dose written on the pack or advised by your doctor
• Measure with the cap or a medicine spoon rather than a kitchen spoon
• It is usually taken after meals
• Do not exceed the recommended amount

Contraindications

• Not suitable for patients with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy
• Known allergy to any B vitamin or to cobalt
• Patients with polycythaemia vera should avoid this syrup
• Avoid in patients with untreated anaemia of unknown cause

Drug Interactions

• Levodopa: Vitamin B6 can reduce the effect of levodopa when it is used alone.
• Phenytoin and phenobarbital: High doses of vitamin B6 may lower the blood levels of these seizure medicines.

Risks and warnings

• Overdose: Very high doses of vitamin B6 taken for a long time can damage nerves. Stay within the advised dose.
• Allergy: Stop the syrup and see a doctor if rash, itching or swelling of the face appears.
