How to use Leradip Tablet 10mg?
- One tablet daily, swallowed whole with a full glass of water
- Best taken 15 minutes before a meal, preferably breakfast, at the same time each day
- An empty stomach or a heavy fatty meal right before the dose can change absorption
- Dose adjustment only on a doctor's advice, especially in liver or kidney disease
- No skipping or doubling of doses to make up for a missed one
Drug Interactions
- Grapefruit Juice: Raises Lercanidipine blood levels significantly and should be avoided during treatment.
- Ketoconazole and Other Strong CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Increase Lercanidipine exposure and raise the risk of side effects.
- Rifampicin and Other CYP3A4 Inducers: Can lower Lercanidipine levels and reduce blood pressure control.
- Cyclosporine: Blood levels of both drugs can rise when taken together, so combined use needs monitoring.
- Other Antihypertensive Drugs: The blood pressure lowering effect is additive, which can increase the risk of hypotension.
