How to use Linjardy Tablet 5/10 mg?

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Take this tablet at the same time each day
• Do not crush, split or chew the tablet
• Monitor blood sugar levels regularly as advised by your doctor

Contraindications

• Known allergy to linagliptin or empagliflozin should avoid this tablet
• Not suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes
• Contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis
• Should not be taken by patients with severe kidney impairment or on dialysis

Drug Interactions

• Insulin or sulfonylureas: combined use may increase the risk of low blood sugar
• Diuretics: may raise the risk of dehydration and low blood pressure
• Rifampin: may reduce the effectiveness of this tablet
• Corticosteroids: may raise blood sugar and reduce this tablet's effect

Risks and warnings

• Pregnancy: use during the second and third trimester is generally not advised
• Breastfeeding mothers: should consult their doctor before using this tablet
• Dehydration risk: increases in hot weather or with reduced fluid intake
• History of pancreatitis: use this tablet with caution
