How to use Maxivate Cream?

• Wash and dry the affected area before applying
• Apply a thin film and rub in gently
• Wash hands after application unless the hands are being treated
• Do not cover with an airtight dressing unless the physician advises it

Contraindications

• Avoid in patients with untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections
• Not suitable for use on the face, groin or underarms without medical advice
• Contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to clobetasol or other steroids
• Should not be used on broken or infected skin without a physician's review

Drug Interactions

• Other topical steroids: using more than one steroid product on the same area increases the risk of skin thinning
• Irritant soaps or cosmetics on the same area: combined use can worsen skin irritation
• Live vaccines: high-potency steroid use over large areas may reduce the immune response
• Other prescription creams: should not be applied to the same area without checking with the physician

• Prolonged use: increases the risk of skin thinning and stretch marks
• Large body surface area: raises the risk of the steroid being absorbed into the bloodstream
• Children: should use this cream only under close medical supervision
