How to use Maxpro Capsule 20mg?
- Take one capsule by mouth once daily, generally in the morning.
- Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water without crushing or chewing it.
- Take at least one hour before a meal for best results.
- For patients unable to swallow capsules, the contents can be mixed with a small amount of soft food and swallowed immediately without chewing.
- Continue the course exactly as advised by the doctor even if symptoms improve early.
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without medical advice after several weeks of use.
Drug Interactions
- Clopidogrel: Esomeprazole may reduce the blood thinning effect of clopidogrel, lowering its ability to prevent clots.
- Warfarin: Combined use can raise INR and bleeding risk, so clotting levels should be monitored closely.
- Methotrexate: High dose methotrexate levels may rise when taken with esomeprazole, increasing toxicity risk.
- Ketoconazole and Itraconazole: Reduced stomach acid can lower the absorption of these antifungal medicines.
