- Myo-Inositol and D-Chiro-Inositol
How to use Mefo Plus Sachet?
- Empty one sachet into a glass of water, about 150 to 200 ml
- Stir until the powder dissolves completely
- Drink it straight away, preferably in the morning
- Take it before or with a meal
Contraindications
- Should not be used by patients allergic to inositol or any ingredient
- Should not be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless a doctor approves
- Should not be used in severe kidney or liver disease unless a doctor approves
- Should not be given to children
Risks and warnings
- Use with caution: if you have diabetes, as blood sugar should be monitored and medicine doses may need adjusting
- Use with caution: if you have kidney or liver disease, and only on medical advice
- Tell your doctor about other medicines: as metformin, insulin and other diabetes medicines may add to blood sugar lowering
- Tell your doctor if you take lithium: as inositol may affect the response to lithium
- Tell your doctor about hormonal or ovulation medicines: so treatment can be planned properly
- Do not exceed the recommended dose: as high amounts may cause stomach upset, nausea and diarrhoea
- Get persistent irregular periods reviewed: as other conditions may need evaluation

- Headache or dizziness
- Rare allergic signs such as rash, itching or swelling of the face or lips
- Rare severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhoea
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place, below 25°C
- Protect from direct sunlight and moisture
- Use opened sachets immediately
- Keep out of reach of children
