Drug Interactions

• Alcohol: Causes a disulfiram like reaction with flushing, nausea, vomiting and a fast heartbeat, so alcohol must be avoided during treatment and for 48 hours after the last dose
• Warfarin: Enhances the blood thinning effect of warfarin and raises bleeding risk, so INR monitoring is advised
• Lithium: May raise lithium blood levels and increase the risk of lithium toxicity
