Metxone Tablet 5mg is a thiazide-like diuretic used to reduce fluid retention and high blood pressure.

Metxone Tablet 5mg formula
How to use Metxone Tablet 5mg?
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Take once daily, preferably in the morning
- May be taken with or without food
- Do not miss scheduled blood tests
- Avoid dehydration during hot weather and exercise
Contraindications
- Should not be used by patients allergic to metolazone, sulfonamides or thiazide diuretics
- Should not be used by patients who cannot pass urine
- Should not be used in severe liver disease with hepatic coma
- Should not be used in severe dehydration or very low blood sodium or potassium

- Do not change the dose or brand: without medical advice, as metolazone brands may not be interchangeable
- Use with caution: if you have kidney disease, since regular monitoring of blood salts is needed
- Use with caution: if you have liver disease, since salt shifts may trigger hepatic coma
