How to use Mirtazep Tablet 15mg?
- Take one tablet by mouth once daily, preferably at bedtime due to drowsiness
- Swallow with a glass of water, with or without food
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting the doctor, taper the dose gradually
- Give the medicine at least two to four weeks before judging its full effect
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine
Drug Interactions
- MAOIs: Should not be combined, risk of serotonin syndrome, a gap of at least two weeks is needed between the two
- Other serotonergic drugs (SSRIs, SNRIs, tramadol): Combined use raises the risk of serotonin syndrome
- Alcohol and sedatives: Increased drowsiness and impaired coordination when combined
- Warfarin: May alter blood clotting levels, closer INR monitoring advised
- Diazepam and other benzodiazepines: Additive sedative effect, use with caution
