How to use Mupiderm Ointment?

• This ointment can be applied using a clean cotton swab or gauze
• Apply a small amount directly to the affected area
• Wash your hands before and after each application
• Complete the full course even if the skin looks better early

Contraindications

• Those with a history of hypersensitivity to mupirocin should avoid this ointment
• Not suitable for use inside the nose, eyes or mouth
• Patients with extensive or deep skin wounds should not use this ointment alone
• Avoid in patients already using another topical antibiotic on the same area

Drug Interactions

• Other topical antibiotics: using more than one antibiotic ointment on the same site is not recommended
• Other creams or lotions: applying them to the same area at the same time is not advised

Risks and warnings

• Eyes, nose and mouth: avoid contact, as this cream is not meant for mucous membranes
• Infants under two months: use only under a doctor's supervision
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor before using this cream
• Extended use: prolonged application may allow resistant germs or fungi to grow
• Large or deep wounds: this ointment is meant for limited surface areas only
