How to use Negram tablet 500mg?

Drug Interactions

Nalidixic acid can interact with a few common medicines.

• Antacids: Reduce the absorption of nalidixic acid; space doses apart.
• Warfarin: Can increase the blood thinning effect and bleeding risk.
• Nitrofurantoin: Combining is generally avoided, since the two antibiotics can work against each other.

Risks and warnings

• G6PD deficiency: Avoid in people with this enzyme deficiency due to a risk of hemolytic anemia.
• Sun sensitivity: May cause increased sensitivity to sunlight.
• Seizure disorders: Use cautiously in people with epilepsy or a seizure history.
