How to use Nezkil Tablet 400mg?

• Take Nezkil tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually every 12 hours
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early
• Avoid alcohol and tyramine rich foods during treatment
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered and skip if the next dose is near

Drug Interactions

• SSRIs and SNRIs raise the risk of serotonin syndrome when combined with Nezkil tablet
• MAO inhibitors can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure with this tablet
• Tyramine rich foods may trigger a hypertensive reaction due to mild MAO inhibiting activity
• Pseudoephedrine and other decongestants may increase blood pressure when taken together
• Warfarin effect may be enhanced, raising bleeding risk

Risks and warnings

• Not suitable for infections caused only by gram negative bacteria
• Use with caution in patients with high blood pressure or pheochromocytoma
• Avoid tyramine rich foods and drinks such as aged cheese, cured meats, soy sauce and tap beer
• Monitor complete blood count in patients on therapy longer than two weeks
