Nipsso MR Tablet Uses

• Lowers the risk of stomach ulcers compared to naproxen taken alone

How to use Nipsso MR Tablet?

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Take at a consistent time each day
• Do not lie down right after taking this tablet
• Follow the doctor's advice on how long to continue treatment

Contraindications

• People diagnosed with active stomach bleeding or a peptic ulcer should not use this tablet
• Not suitable for patients with a history of asthma or allergic reaction to aspirin or other NSAIDs
• Contraindicated in patients who have recently had heart bypass surgery
• Avoid in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment

Drug Interactions

• Anticoagulants such as warfarin: combined use raises the risk of bleeding
• Other NSAIDs or aspirin: taking them together increases stomach bleeding risk
• Lithium: this tablet can raise lithium levels in the blood
• Clopidogrel: the esomeprazole component may reduce how well clopidogrel works

• Heart disease: NSAIDs can raise the risk of heart attack or stroke with long term use
• Elderly patients: face a higher risk of stomach bleeding and should be monitored
• Blood pressure: should be checked regularly during treatment
