Drug Interactions

Noradrin Injection can interact with several medicines used in hospital settings.

• MAO Inhibitors: Can dangerously exaggerate the blood pressure raising effect.
• Tricyclic Antidepressants: May increase the risk of severe hypertension and arrhythmia.
• Beta Blockers: Can blunt the heart stimulating effect while leaving strong vessel constriction unopposed.
• General Anesthetics (e.g., Halothane): May increase the risk of serious heart rhythm disturbances.

Risks and warnings

• Extravasation Risk: Leakage from the vein into surrounding tissue can cause severe tissue damage and needs immediate medical attention.
