About Orglu Tablet
Orglu tablet is an antispasmodic medicine that relieves muscle spasms in the gut, urinary tract, and reproductive system.
Orglu Tablet Uses
- Used for symptomatic relief of abdominal pain caused by gut spasms
- Indicated for renal colic, a sharp pain from urinary tract spasms
- Effective against biliary colic, which is pain from spasms in the bile ducts
- Treats menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea) caused by uterine muscle spasms
- Helpful in managing painful symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Approved for diarrhoea and dysentery when abdominal spasms are present
- Chosen for adjuvant management of uterine contractions during delayed labour, under medical supervision

- یہ دوا معدے اور آنتوں کی اینٹھن کی وجہ سے ہونے والے درد کو دور کرتی ہے۔
- گردے کی نالی میں اینٹھن سے پیدا ہونے والے شدید درد میں اس دوا کو تجویز کیا جاتا ہے۔
- پتّے کی نالی میں تشنج سے ہونے والے درد میں یہ دوا مؤثر ثابت ہوتی ہے۔
- ماہواری کے دوران رحم کی اینٹھن سے پیدا ہونے والے درد میں اس سے فائدہ ہوتا ہے۔
- آنتوں کے سنڈروم میں اینٹھن اور تکلیف کو کم کرنے کے لیے یہ دوا استعمال کی جاتی ہے۔
- اسہال اور پیچش میں پیٹ کی اینٹھن سے نجات کے لیے یہ دوا تجویز کی جاتی ہے۔

- Phloroglucinol 80mg + Trimethylphloroglucinol 80mg
How to use Orglu Tablet?
- Orglu tablet is for oral use only
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
- Orglu tablet can be taken with or without food
- Store the strip in its original packaging until use
Contraindications
- Allergy to phloroglucinol or trimethylphloroglucinol: Patients with a known hypersensitivity to either active ingredient must not take this medicine.
- Wheat allergy (non-celiac): Orglu tablet contains excipients derived from wheat and is contraindicated in patients with wheat allergy not related to celiac disease.
- Galactose intolerance or lactase deficiency: The tablet contains lactose and is not suitable for patients with these rare conditions.
- Fructose intolerance or sucrase deficiency: The tablet contains sucrose and must not be used in patients with these metabolic conditions.
Drug Interactions
- Morphine and opioid derivatives: These painkillers have a spasmogenic effect on smooth muscles, which can reduce or counteract the antispasmodic action of Orglu tablet.
Risks and warnings
- Wheat allergy: Orglu tablet contains wheat-derived excipients and must not be taken by patients with a non-celiac wheat allergy.
- Lactose sensitivity: Patients with galactose intolerance or total lactase deficiency must avoid this medicine due to its lactose content.
- Sucrose sensitivity: Patients with fructose intolerance or sucrase deficiency should not use Orglu tablet without medical clearance.
- Morphine use: Combining Orglu tablet with morphine or opioid medicines may reduce its effectiveness and should be avoided.
- Pregnancy: Orglu tablet should be used during pregnancy only when clearly needed and under a doctor's supervision.
- Breastfeeding: Safety data during breastfeeding is limited, so use is not recommended while nursing.
- Children under 6: Orglu tablet is not approved for use in children below 6 years of age.
- Driving and machinery: Orglu tablet has no known effect on alertness or the ability to drive.
Orglu Tablet Side Effects
- Skin rash
- Itching (pruritus)
- Urticaria (hives)
- Angioedema (swelling under the skin)
- Anaphylactic shock (severe allergic reaction, rare)
- Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (a rare severe skin reaction)
- Low blood pressure (with hypersensitivity reactions)
Storage Conditions
- Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C
- Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
